Annai is roughly 420 km from Georgetown by road and about halfway between Iwokrama River Lodge and Lethem. Its airstrip makes it the easiest point of entry to the north Rupununi.

By air
The Ogle–Lethem flights land at Annai when passengers are booked to or from it, so reserve through Rock View, Surama or an operator rather than hoping for a seat. The airstrip is a two-minute walk from Rock View’s gate. Baggage is limited to the usual small-aircraft allowance.
By road
The Lethem minibuses stop at The Oasis, Rock View’s roadside rest stop at Annai, early in the morning after their night drive from Georgetown. For Surama, ask to be dropped at the junction and arrange for the village vehicle to meet you — it is too far to walk with luggage. From Atta Rainforest Lodge the transfer south takes about an hour.
Onward travel
From the landings near Annai, lodge boats run to Rewa and, when water allows, to Karanambu; in the dry season Karanambu is also reached by 4x4. Minibuses and private vehicles continue to Lethem. Around Surama and Annai you walk, paddle, ride or go by the lodge’s truck.
