Berbice is travelled rather than toured. Visitors pass through on the way to Suriname, and the one relevant online listing is exactly that: a shared transport service from Georgetown that drives the coast road, puts you on the Corentyne ferry and continues to Paramaribo.
The outing most worth organising is a hoatzin trip. Boats leave before dawn on the Mahaica River, about an hour east of Georgetown, or on the Canje near New Amsterdam, to find these crested, clumsy leaf-eating birds in the riverside vegetation, along with herons, hawks and monkeys.
